Shloka 3.62.2
सीतावियोगे रामविलापः (Rāma’s Lament in Separation from Sītā)
पश्यन्निव च तां सीतामपश्यन्मदनार्दितः।उवाच राघवो वाक्यं विलापाश्रयदुर्वचम्।।3.62.2।।
paśyanniva ca tāṃ sītāmapaśyanmadanārditaḥ | uvāca rāghavo vākyaṃ vilāpāśrayadurvacam ||
Tormented by the pangs of love, Raghava, though not truly seeing Sita, spoke as if he were seeing her; he uttered words hard to speak, born of deep lamentation.
Under the spell of Cupid, Rama uttered such words in grief which are otherwise unutterable. As if he was seeing Sita (before him) which was not a fact.
Due to the intense psychological pressure of separation and love (madanārditaḥ), Rama experiences a hallucination where he visualizes Sita before him, despite her absence.
It signifies that Rama's speech was not ordinary conversation; it was a painful articulation of sorrow that is typically indescribable or difficult to utter, highlighting the depth of his emotional crisis.
