सीतान्वेषणारम्भः — The Search for Sita Begins

saha saumitriṇā rāmo vicetum upacakrame ||3.61.19||

Thus addressed by Lakṣmaṇa with affectionate concern, Rāma regained composure and, together with Saumitri, began to search.

Rama, son of Dasaratha, saw the empty cottage devoid of Sita. The mats were displaced. He searched everywhere but unable to see Vaidehi lifted his lovely arms and said:

R
Rama
L
Lakshmana (Saumitri)

Dharma is the restoration of right action through good counsel: affection and wise guidance help transform grief into disciplined effort.

After Lakṣmaṇa’s consoling words, Rāma becomes composed and the two brothers begin the search together.

Receptiveness to righteous advice—Rāma’s greatness includes accepting support and returning to purposeful action.
