Seeing Rāma, unable to find Sītā, sinking in despair like an elephant mired in deep mud, Lakṣmaṇa spoke to him earnestly, seeking his welfare.

O long-armed, heroic Rama, do not grieve. This forest is full of caves. Let us try together.

Dharma is shown as supportive counsel: Lakṣmaṇa acts as a righteous companion, prioritizing Rāma’s welfare and steadiness rather than allowing grief to paralyze action.

Sītā cannot be found; Rāma is overwhelmed, and Lakṣmaṇa intervenes with earnest, welfare-minded advice.

Fraternal loyalty and practical wisdom—Lakṣmaṇa’s compassion is expressed through guidance aimed at restoring Rāma’s composure.
