Shloka 3.6.9

षष्ठस्सर्गः — तपस्विरक्षणे राजधर्मोपदेशः (Sarga 6: The Sages’ Appeal and Instruction on Royal Duty)

विश्रुतस्त्रिषु लोकेषु यशसा विक्रमेण च।पितृभक्तिश्च सत्यं च त्वयि धर्मश्च पुष्कलः।।।।

viśrutastriṣu lokeṣu yaśasā vikrameṇa ca | pitṛbhaktiśca satyaṃ ca tvayi dharmaśca puṣkalaḥ ||

You are renowned throughout the three worlds for your fame and valor. Moreover, devotion to your father, truthfulness, and righteousness dwell in you in abundance.

You are renowned in the three worlds for your valour, for your devotion to father, and in you lies enough evidence of your adherence to truth and righteousness.

Three Worlds

The sages highlight Rama's devotion to his father to acknowledge that his presence in the forest is a result of his commitment to honoring his father's word, which is the foundation of his Dharma.

'Pushkala' means abundant or full. It implies that Rama does not merely follow Dharma occasionally; rather, he is the complete embodiment of righteousness and truth, making him the ideal protector for the sages.
