सीताहरण-विलापः / The Lament at Jatāyu and the Abduction of Sītā

उद्धूतेन च वस्त्रेण तस्याः पीतेन रावणः।अधिकं परिबभ्राज गिरिर्दीप्त इवाग्निना।।।।

uddhūtena ca vastreṇa tasyāḥ pītena rāvaṇaḥ |

adhikaṃ paribabhrāja girir dīpta ivāgninā ||

With her yellow garment streaming in the wind, Rāvaṇa glittered all the more—like a mountain blazing with fire.

Ravana was shining all the more with(her) yellow clothes blowing in the air, and looked like a mountain shining with fire burning around.

R
Rāvaṇa
S
Sītā (implied by tasyāḥ)

External brilliance can accompany inner wrongdoing: adharma may appear powerful and splendid, yet it is likened to destructive fire—warning against confusing spectacle with righteousness.

As Rāvaṇa flies away, Sītā’s cloth billows, creating a striking visual that makes him appear even more radiant.

Implicitly, the contrastive lesson: Rāvaṇa’s display is not virtue but the dangerous glamour of adharma.
