जटायुरावणयुद्धम्
Jatayu’s Combat with Ravana
अनुबन्धमजानन्तः कर्मणामविचक्षणाः।।।।शीघ्रमेव विनश्यन्ति यथा त्वं विनशिष्यसि।
anubandham ajānantaḥ karmaṇām avicakṣaṇāḥ | śīghram eva vinaśyanti yathā tvaṃ vinaśiṣyasi ||
The unwise, who do not understand the consequences that follow from their deeds, perish quickly—just as you too will perish.
Fools who do not know the consequences of their action perish soon. Similarly you are going to die soon.
Dharma includes foresight: one must weigh karmic consequences (anubandha). Ignoring moral causality leads swiftly to ruin.
Jaṭāyu warns Rāvaṇa that his wrongful deed will rapidly bring destruction upon him.
Moral discernment (viveka): the wise evaluate outcomes; the unwise act blindly.
