जटायुरुपदेशः — Jatāyu Confronts Rāvaṇa (Ethical Admonition and Challenge)
न शक्तस्त्वं बलाद्धर्तुं वैदेहीं मम पश्यतः।।।।हेतुभिर्न्यायसंसिद्धैद्धृवां वेदश्रुतीमिव।
na śaktas tvaṃ balād dhartuṃ vaidehīṃ mama paśyataḥ | hetubhir nyāyasaṃsiddhair dhruvāṃ vedaśrutīm iva ||
You are not able to carry off Vaidehī by force while I am watching. She is as unassailable as the everlasting Vedic revelation—firmly established by sound reasons and rightful grounds.
You cannot carry Vaidehi by force within my very sight just as the everlasting revelations of the Vedas cannot be robbed by mere logic of reason.
He upholds rāja-dharma and kṣatriya-like protection of the innocent: resisting adharma (abduction) and defending Sītā as a righteous duty, even at personal risk.
Vedaśruti symbolizes enduring, authoritative truth; Jatāyu implies that a righteous claim grounded in truth and proper reasoning is not something that can be overturned or ‘stolen’ by mere force or sophistry.
