स भ्राता लक्ष्मणो नाम धर्मचारी दृढव्रतः।।3.47.19।।अन्वगच्छद्दनुष्पाणिः प्रव्रजन्तं मया सह।

Transliteration

tasya bhrātā tu dvaimātro lakṣmaṇo nāma vīryavān ||3.47.18|| rāmasya puruṣavyāghraḥ sahāyaḥ samare rihā |

Translation

Rāma has a mighty half-brother, Lakṣmaṇa by name—a tiger among men—his companion in battle, a destroyer of enemies.

Context

Lakshmana, his brother, is righteous and steadfast. Bow in hand, he followed Rama along with me, into exile.
