Shloka 3.38.8

अष्टत्रिंशः सर्गः — मारीचोपदेशः (Maricha’s Warning and the Memory of Rama’s Power)

इत्येवमुक्तस्समुनी राजानमिदमब्रवीत्।।3.38.8।।रामान्नान्यद्बलं लोके पर्याप्तं तस्य रक्षसः।

ity evam uktaḥ sa muniḥ rājānam idam abravīt | rāmān nānyad balaṁ loke paryāptaṁ tasya rakṣasaḥ || 3.38.8 ||

When the king spoke thus, the sage replied: in this world no power is sufficient against that rākṣasa—except Rāma.

When the king thus responded to the sage, he told him that none other than Rama in this world is a match for that demon.

R
Rāma
M
muni (sage)
R
rājā (king)
R
rākṣasa (demon)

Dharma includes discernment: recognizing the truly capable protector and aligning action with reality rather than pride or mere force.

After the king offers to fight with his army, the sage corrects him, saying only Rāma is an adequate match for the rākṣasa.

Truthful counsel (satya-vacana) and clear judgment: the sage speaks plainly about capability and necessity.
