Abduct his wife by force in that great forest; once deprived of Sita, Rama—burning with desire—will abandon his life.
Abduct Rama's wife by force in that great forest and bereft of Sita, he will give up his life.
It presents a clear adharma: abducting another’s wife by force violates dharma, social order, and truthfulness, and becomes the seed of catastrophic consequences.
Akampana proposes the decisive plot: instead of fighting Rama directly, Ravana should seize Sita to break Rama.
By contrast, Rama’s deep fidelity is assumed; Akampana exploits Rama’s attachment to Sita, showing how virtue can be targeted by vice.
