खरवधः — The Slaying of Khara (Janasthana Battle Climax)

नीचस्य क्षुद्रशीलस्य मिथ्यावृत्तस्य रक्षसः।प्राणानहं हरिष्यामि गरुत्मानमृतं यथा।।।।

nīcasya kṣudra-śīlasya mithyā-vṛttasya rakṣasaḥ | prāṇān ahaṃ hariṣyāmi garutmān amṛtaṃ yathā ||

I will take the life of this rākṣasa—base, petty-natured, and given to false ways—just as Garuḍa once carried off the nectar.

You are mean. You have false pride. You are of low behaviour. I shall take away your life, O demon,, Just as Garuda carried off the nectar.

The verse frames lethal force as dharmic when directed against persistent adharma—those who deceive and prey on others—so that protection and order may be restored.

Rāma declares his intent to end the rākṣasa’s life, using the Garuḍa–amṛta episode as a forceful analogy for decisive taking.

Rāma’s resolve and righteous indignation against falsehood and cruelty.
