खरवधः — The Slaying of Khara (Janasthana Battle Climax)
ततो राजर्षयस्सर्वे सङ्गताः परमर्षयः।सभाज्य मुदिता राममिदं वचनमब्रुवन्।।।।
tato rājarṣayaḥ sarve saṅgatāḥ paramarṣayaḥ | sabhājya muditā rāmam idaṃ vacanam abruvan ||
Then all the royal sages—the great seers assembled together—honored Rāma with reverence and, rejoicing, spoke these words.
Then the rajarsis, great seers gathered together, offered their worship to Rama and said these words joyfully :
Society’s moral guardians (sages) publicly affirm righteous action. Dharma is strengthened when the wise recognize and endorse protection of the vulnerable.
After Khara’s defeat, sages gather and prepare to address Rāma, offering honor and gratitude.
Loka-saṃgraha (upholding social order): Rāma’s deeds earn the approval of ascetics who represent dharma in the forest.
