खरसेनासङ्ग्रामः — The Battle with Khara’s Host at the Hermitage
तानि बाणैर्महाबाहुश्शस्त्राण्यावार्य राघवः।जहार समरे प्राणांश्चिच्छेद च शिरोधरान्।।।।
tāni bāṇair mahābāhuḥ śastrāṇy āvārya rāghavaḥ | jahāra samare prāṇāṃś ciccheda ca śirodharān ||
The mighty-armed Raghava checked those weapons with his arrows; and in the battle he took their lives, cutting down their heads as well.
Strong-armed Rama attacked them with his arrows and cut off their heads and took their lives.
Defense is not mere retaliation but duty-bound protection: dharma allows decisive force when it stops ongoing harm.
Rāma neutralizes incoming weapons and swiftly defeats the attackers.
