उत्पातदर्शनं खरसैन्यसमागमश्च (Omens of calamity and the approach of Khara’s army)
सम्प्रहारस्तु सुमहान्भविष्यति न संशयः।अयमाख्याति मे बाहुस्स्फुरमाणो मुहुर्मुहुः।।3.24.7।।सन्निकर्षे तु न श्शूर जयं शत्रोः पराजयम्।सप्रभं च प्रसन्नं च तव वक्त्रं हि लक्ष्यते।।3.24.8।।
samprahāras tu sumahān bhaviṣyati na saṃśayaḥ |
ayam ākhyāti me bāhuḥ sphuramāṇo muhur muhuḥ || (3.24.7)
sannikarṣe tu naḥ śūra jayaṃ śatroḥ parājayam |
saprabhaṃ ca prasannaṃ ca tava vaktraṃ hi lakṣyate || (3.24.8)
A very great battle will surely take place; my repeatedly trembling arm signals it. And yet, O brave one, the near outcome is our victory and the enemy’s defeat—your face is seen to be bright and composed.
A mass destruction of life is going to take place. There is no doubt about it. O brave Lakshmana my right shoulder trembles again and again, indicating the defeat of the enemy. Your beaming visage presages victory.
Dharma is disciplined readiness: recognizing danger truthfully while maintaining calm confidence in righteous action.
