Shloka 3.12.31

अगस्त्याश्रमप्रवेशः तथा दिव्यायुधप्रदानम् (Entry into Agastya’s Hermitage and the Gift of Divine Weapons)

एवमुक्त्वा फलैर्मूलैः पुष्पैरन्यैश्च राघवम्।। ।।पूजयित्वा यथाकामं पुनरेव ततोऽब्रवीत्।

rājā sarvasya lokasya dharmacārī mahārathaḥ | pūjanīyaś ca mānyaś ca bhavān prāptaḥ priyātithiḥ ||

You are the king of all the worlds, a follower of Dharma, a great chariot-warrior, worthy of worship and honor; you have come to me as a beloved guest.

Having said this to Rama, (the sage) honoured him by offering fruits, roots, flowers and other things as desired. He then said to Rama once again:

A
Agastya
R
Rāma

Atithi-dharma and recognition of rajadharma: the righteous guest is honored, and true kingship is defined by dharma rather than power.

Sage Agastya welcomes Rāma in the forest hermitage and praises his dharmic stature while receiving him as a guest.

Rāma’s dharma-centered kingship and Agastya’s hospitality and discernment.
