अगस्त्याश्रमप्रवेशः तथा दिव्यायुधप्रदानम् (Entry into Agastya’s Hermitage and the Gift of Divine Weapons)
लक्ष्मणो नाम तस्याहं भ्राता त्ववरजो हितः।अनुकूलश्च भक्तश्च यदि ते श्रोत्रमागतः।।।।
lakṣmaṇo nāma tasyāhaṃ bhrātā tv-avarajo hitaḥ | anukūlaś ca bhaktaś ca yadi te śrotram āgataḥ ||
I am his younger brother, named Lakṣmaṇa—his well-wisher, ever supportive and devoted—if indeed you have heard of me.
I am his younger brother Lakshmana, his well-wisher and faithful devotee if you have at all heard about me.
Bhrātṛ-dharma and sevā: Lakṣmaṇa defines himself through loyal service, goodwill, and devotion to his elder brother, presenting duty as identity.
In the Daṇḍaka forest setting of Araṇyakāṇḍa, Lakṣmaṇa respectfully introduces himself to the sage Agastya while approaching him.
Unwavering devotion and supportive loyalty (anukūlatā and bhakti) toward family and rightful leadership.
