Concept: Grace is reciprocal in bhakti: pleasing Kṛṣṇa draws Kṛṣṇa’s pleasure; divine favor manifests as restoration of rightful order and provision of needs.

Application: Offer daily acts that ‘please Kṛṣṇa’—truthfulness, compassion, japa, seva—then accept outcomes as prasāda; cultivate gratitude rather than entitlement.

Primary Rasa: shringara

Secondary Rasa: shanta

FAQs

It teaches reciprocal grace: when a devotee sincerely pleases Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa responds with favor, bringing fulfillment of needs and restoration of well-being.

It frames devotion as personal relationship—pleasing Kṛṣṇa leads to Kṛṣṇa’s pleasure—highlighting bhakti as an effective and direct means to divine support.

The verse implies that aligning one’s conduct to please the Divine (through devotion, humility, and right action) becomes the basis for true prosperity and stability, not mere entitlement.
