Concept: When confronted by the Lord’s rightful claim, demonic pride retreats; the divine pervasion (vyāpti) reveals that nothing lies outside Viṣṇu’s sovereignty.

Application: Let ego ‘move away’ when truth is spoken; remember that personal control is limited—act responsibly within a larger divine order.

FAQs

It points to the Vāmana–Trivikrama narrative, where Viṣṇu as Vāmana expands and covers the cosmic realms with his strides.

It signals the demon’s loss of power and space before divine authority—an immediate response to being addressed/commanded and the onset of Vāmana’s cosmic act.

Worldly dominance is shown as fragile before dharma and the divine; humility and surrender are contrasted with demonic pride that inevitably recedes.
