नारदोऽस्य मुनिश्छन्दोऽनुष्टुम् कृष्णोऽस्य देवता । पादैः सर्वेण पंचांगं कृत्वा ध्यायेत्ततो हरिम् ॥ ३३ ॥
nārado'sya muniśchando'nuṣṭum kṛṣṇo'sya devatā | pādaiḥ sarveṇa paṃcāṃgaṃ kṛtvā dhyāyettato harim || 33 ||
For this mantra/hymn, the seer is Sage Nārada; the metre is Anuṣṭubh; and the presiding deity is Kṛṣṇa. Having fully performed the fivefold ancillary observances, one should then meditate upon Hari.
Narada (mantra-anukramanika style attribution within the chapter)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It establishes the mantra’s traditional identifiers—ṛṣi (seer), chandas (metre), and devatā (deity)—and teaches that ritual completeness (pañcāṅga) should culminate in inner meditation on Hari, making devotion the final aim of technique.
Even after technical preliminaries are observed, the verse directs the practitioner to dhyāna (meditation) on Hari; thus, correct method supports and leads into personal devotion to Viṣṇu/Kṛṣṇa.
It highlights chandas (Vedic prosody/metre) via Anuṣṭubh and the mantra-framework of ṛṣi–chandas–devatā, along with the notion of ancillary limbs (aṅgas) that prepare one for focused upāsanā.
