dvibāhurīśasya padābhivaṃ danaḥ samastagātrābharaṇopapannaḥ | prasannamūrtistaruṇaḥ sumadhye vinyastamūrddhvāṃjalibhiḥ śirobhiḥ || 131 ||
He bowed at the feet of the two-armed Lord; adorned with ornaments over all his limbs, youthful and of graceful waist, his face serene—he stood with his hands joined in reverence, his head inclined in devotion.
Narada (narrating within the dialogue with Sanatkumara)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It portrays the classic bhakti posture—pāda-vandanā (reverence to the Lord’s feet) with añjali—showing that inner serenity and outward humility are central marks of devotional approach to Hari.
Bhakti is expressed through embodied reverence: bowing, joining the palms, and approaching the Lord with a calm, pleased mind—indicating surrender (praṇipāta) and loving respect (vandanā).
While not teaching a specific Vedāṅga rule directly, it reflects śrauta-smārta worship decorum—proper gesture (añjali), respectful salutation (abhivandana), and disciplined bodily conduct used in ritual and devotional practice.
