evaṃ saṃpūjayedbhaktyā devaṃ nārāyaṇaṃ prabhum | agniṣṭomāṣṭakaphalaṃ sa saṃpūrṇamavāpnuyāt || 30 ||
Thus, by worshipping the Lord Nārāyaṇa with devotion (bhakti), one fully attains merit equal to the eightfold fruit of the Agniṣṭoma sacrifice.
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It elevates devoted worship of Lord Nārāyaṇa as a complete spiritual act capable of granting the same merit traditionally associated with major Śrauta sacrifices.
Bhakti is presented as the decisive factor—when worship is done with sincere devotion, it can yield results comparable to elaborate Vedic ritual performance.
It references Śrauta-yajña tradition (Agniṣṭoma) and the doctrine of yajña-phala (ritual merit), implying knowledge of ritual procedure and its stated results even while prioritizing devotional worship.
