FAQs

It states the phala (result) of correctly performing a vrata: Mahādeva’s grace grants both worldly fulfillment (bhoga) and the highest end—attaining Śiva-pada—showing how disciplined observance can culminate in liberation.

The verse centers results on “mahādeva-prasāda” (Śiva’s grace), implying that the vow is not merely mechanical ritual but an act of devotion whose success depends on divine favor and surrender.

It highlights Kalpa-style ritual discipline through “vrata” (regulated observance) and its stated phala; the verse functions like a concise phala-shruti that guides practitioners on the expected outcomes of proper ritual performance.
