Matsya Purana — Yadu Lineage
इन्द्रेणैव तु विक्रम्य निहतस्तारकामये अशक्नुवन्स देवानां सर्वं सोढुं सदैवतम् //
indreṇaiva tu vikramya nihatastārakāmaye aśaknuvansa devānāṃ sarvaṃ soḍhuṃ sadaivatam //
Then, in the Tārakāmaya conflict, Indra alone advanced with valor and struck him down; for the gods were unable to endure the whole burden of that ever-divine (foe’s) might.
This verse does not teach Pralaya directly; it highlights preservation of cosmic order through Indra’s decisive victory when the gods could not withstand the enemy’s overwhelming power.
By implication, it models kṣātra-dharma: when a community cannot bear a threat, a capable leader must act with courage and responsibility to restore stability and protect the collective.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is specified in this verse; it belongs to the Matsya Purana’s mythic-historical narrative portion rather than Vāstuvidyā or pratima-lakṣaṇa sections.
