Matsya Purana — War of Devas and Dānavas: Yama and Kubera Defeated; Kālanemi’s Māyā and the A...
धनेशो लब्धसंज्ञो ऽथ तामवस्थां विलोक्य तु निःश्वसन्दीर्घमुष्णं च रोषात्ताम्रविलोचनः //
dhaneśo labdhasaṃjño 'tha tāmavasthāṃ vilokya tu niḥśvasandīrghamuṣṇaṃ ca roṣāttāmravilocanaḥ //
Then Dhaneśa (Kubera), regaining consciousness, looked upon her condition; and, his eyes reddened with wrath, he heaved a long, hot sigh.
This verse does not discuss pralaya or cosmology; it is a narrative moment describing Kubera’s emotional reaction after regaining consciousness.
Indirectly, it highlights the ethical theme of self-control: anger (roṣa) manifests physically and can drive rash action—an implicit warning for rulers/householders to govern reactions with restraint.
No Vāstu, temple-building, iconography, or ritual procedure is mentioned; the verse is purely descriptive within a storyline.
