Matsya Purana — War of Devas and Dānavas: Yama and Kubera Defeated; Kālanemi’s Māyā and the A...
कालनेमी रुषाविष्टस् तेषां रूपं न बुद्धवान् नेमिदैत्यस्तु तान्दृष्ट्वा कालनेमिमुवाच ह //
kālanemī ruṣāviṣṭas teṣāṃ rūpaṃ na buddhavān nemidaityastu tāndṛṣṭvā kālanemimuvāca ha //
Kālanemi, seized by anger, did not recognize their true form. But the demon Nemi, seeing them, spoke to Kālanemi.
This verse does not address pralaya; it highlights a narrative motif—anger (krodha) obscuring correct recognition—within a Daitya episode.
It implies an ethical lesson central to Purāṇic dharma: anger distorts judgment, so a king or householder should cultivate self-control to perceive situations accurately before acting.
No Vāstu or ritual procedure is stated in this verse; it functions as scene-setting for a dialogue in a mythic confrontation.
