Matsya Purana — Tripura’s Prosperity
कलहं वर्जयन्तश्च अर्जयन्तस् तथार्जवम् स्वप्नोदयं प्रतीक्षध्वं कालोदयमथापि च //
kalahaṃ varjayantaśca arjayantas tathārjavam svapnodayaṃ pratīkṣadhvaṃ kālodayamathāpi ca //
Avoiding quarrel and cultivating straightforwardness, wait for the right awakening and for the proper time to arise as well.
This verse does not address Pralaya; it focuses on ethical discipline—avoiding conflict, cultivating sincerity, and acting at the proper time.
It advises both rulers and householders to prevent social discord (by avoiding quarrels), uphold ārjava (honest, straight conduct), and act with timing and restraint—key to stable governance and orderly domestic life.
No Vastu or ritual procedure is specified; the takeaway is behavioral: auspicious and effective action depends on self-control and proper timing (kāla), a principle also valued in rites though not detailed here.
