Matsya Purana — The Observance of Ananta-Tritiya
नभस्यादिषु मासेषु प्रीयतामित्युदीरयेत् व्रतान्ते शयनं दद्यात् सुवर्णकमलान्वितम् //
nabhasyādiṣu māseṣu prīyatāmityudīrayet vratānte śayanaṃ dadyāt suvarṇakamalānvitam //
In the months beginning with Nabhas (Bhādrapada), one should utter, “May (the deity) be pleased.” At the conclusion of the vow, one should gift a ceremonial bed adorned with golden lotus ornaments.
This verse is not about pralaya; it focuses on vrata-ritual timing (months like Nabhas) and the prescribed concluding gift (dāna) to complete the observance.
It reflects the householder/royal duty of completing vows properly—reciting a satisfaction-formula (“prīyatām”) and sealing the observance with an appropriate charitable gift, which is a standard dharmic practice in Purāṇic ethics.
Ritually, it prescribes vratānta-dāna: gifting a “śayana” (ceremonial bed/couch) decorated with golden lotus motifs—an auspicious, merit-generating concluding offering rather than a Vāstu/temple-building rule.
