Matsya Purana — The Greatness of the Vibhūti-Dvādaśī Vow: Pushkara
अथानङ्गवती तुष्टा तयोर्धनशतत्रयम् दीयतामादिदेशाथ कलधौतशतत्रयम् //
athānaṅgavatī tuṣṭā tayordhanaśatatrayam dīyatāmādideśātha kaladhautaśatatrayam //
Then Anaṅgavatī, being pleased, instructed that three hundred measures of wealth be given to them, and thereafter three hundred pieces of refined gold as well.
Nothing directly—this verse is about dana (charitable giving), not pralaya or cosmology.
It exemplifies the dharmic duty of generosity: a patron (here Anaṅgavatī) orders substantial gifts of wealth and refined gold, aligning with Matsya Purana’s emphasis on charity as a key householder/royal virtue.
No explicit Vastu or temple-architecture rule is stated; the ritual takeaway is the sanctioned gifting of ‘kaladhauta’ (refined gold), a valued dana item in Purāṇic gift-lists.
