Matsya Purana — The Aśūnyaśayana Vrata
तस्यां सम्पूज्य गोविन्दं सर्वान्कामान्समश्नुते गोभूहिरण्यदानादि सप्तकल्पशतानुगम् //
tasyāṃ sampūjya govindaṃ sarvānkāmānsamaśnute gobhūhiraṇyadānādi saptakalpaśatānugam //
By duly worshipping Govinda there, one attains the fulfilment of all desires; and the merit of gifts—such as cows, land, and gold—follows the devotee for seven hundred kalpas.
It does not describe Pralaya directly; it uses the vast measure of “kalpas” (cosmic aeons) to emphasize how enduring the merit of Govinda-worship and dāna can be across cosmic time.
It supports the householder/kingly ethic of dharmic giving (cows, land, gold) and devotion to Vishnu: worship (bhakti) combined with charity (dāna) is presented as a means to legitimate prosperity and lasting religious merit.
The ritual takeaway is the phala of “sampūjya” (proper, complete worship) of Govinda; while no Vāstu rule is stated, it aligns with temple/ritual practice where correct worship at a sacred site is said to yield extraordinary, long-duration merit.
