Approaching the king, the hosts of Gandharvas and Apsarases said: “O King, tamer of foes, you have reached this land that is like heaven.”
This verse does not describe Pralaya; it uses “svargopama” (heaven-like) imagery to praise a terrestrial region and the king’s arrival, focusing on narrative setting rather than cosmic dissolution.
By addressing the ruler as “ariṃdama” (subduer of enemies), the verse reflects the kṣatriya ideal of protecting the realm and maintaining order—core royal duties emphasized across Purāṇic dharma teachings.
No explicit Vāstu or ritual procedure appears in this line; its key takeaway is the descriptive epithet “svargopama deśa,” often used in Purāṇas to mark an auspicious, idealized place suitable for sacred or royal activity in the surrounding context.
