Matsya Purana — Paurava Genealogy: Bharata
महापौरवपुत्रस्तु राजा रुक्मरथः स्मृतः अथ रुक्मरथस्यासीत् सुपार्श्वो नाम पार्थिवः //
mahāpauravaputrastu rājā rukmarathaḥ smṛtaḥ atha rukmarathasyāsīt supārśvo nāma pārthivaḥ //
Mahāpaurava’s son is remembered as the king named Rukmaratha. And Rukmaratha had a sovereign called Supārśva.
Nothing directly—this verse is genealogical, recording royal succession (Mahāpaurava → Rukmaratha → Supārśva), not cosmology or pralaya.
Indirectly, it supports the Purāṇic model of dharmic kingship by preserving the continuity of righteous rule through lineage; the focus here is on succession rather than explicit royal duties.
No architectural (Vāstu) or ritual procedure is specified in this verse; it functions as a dynastic record within the Matsya Purana’s historical-genealogical narrative.
