Matsya Purana — Paurava Genealogy: Bharata
अजमीढस्य पत्न्यस्तु तिस्रः कुरुकुलोद्वहाः नीलिनी धूमिनी चैव केशिनी चैव विश्रुता //
ajamīḍhasya patnyastu tisraḥ kurukulodvahāḥ nīlinī dhūminī caiva keśinī caiva viśrutā //
Ajamīḍha, the eminent scion of the Kuru dynasty, had three wives—renowned as Nīlinī, Dhūminī, and Keśinī.
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it belongs to the Matsya Purana’s dynastic (vamsha) narration, listing Ajamīḍha’s three wives within the Kuru lineage.
Indirectly, it supports the Purana’s model of dharmic social order by preserving royal genealogy—marriage alliances and legitimate succession were central to a king’s duty of maintaining lineage continuity and stability in the realm.
No Vastu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is stated in this verse; its focus is purely genealogical, naming the spouses connected to the Kuru dynastic record.
