Matsya Purana — Paurava Genealogy
सुतः सत्यधृतिर्नाम धनुर्वेदस्य पारगः आसीत्सत्यधृतेः शुक्रम् अमोघं धार्मिकस्य तु //
sutaḥ satyadhṛtirnāma dhanurvedasya pāragaḥ āsītsatyadhṛteḥ śukram amoghaṃ dhārmikasya tu //
His son was named Satyadhṛti, a master of the Dhanurveda, the science of archery. From Satyadhṛti was born Amogha—virtuous and unfailing in prowess.
This verse does not address Pralaya; it belongs to the Matsya Purana’s genealogical narration, highlighting lineage and exemplary qualities rather than cosmic dissolution.
By praising mastery of Dhanurveda and describing Amogha as dhārmika (righteous), the verse reflects the Kshatriya ideal: disciplined martial competence guided by dharma—central to royal duty and social order.
No Vastu Shastra, temple architecture, or ritual procedure is stated here; the focus is lineage and the virtues/skills of successors.
