Matsya Purana — Paurava Genealogy
नृपात्सुनीथाद्भविता नृचक्षुः सुमहायशाः नृचक्षुषस्तु दायादो भविता वै सुखीवलः //
nṛpātsunīthādbhavitā nṛcakṣuḥ sumahāyaśāḥ nṛcakṣuṣastu dāyādo bhavitā vai sukhīvalaḥ //
From King Sunīthā will be born Nṛcakṣu, a ruler of very great renown. And from Nṛcakṣu, his heir will indeed be born—Sukhīvala.
This verse does not address Pralaya; it is a genealogical statement recording royal succession (vamśa) through named kings.
Indirectly, it reflects the Purāṇic emphasis on legitimate succession and continuity of righteous rule—where the king’s heir (dāyāda) preserves order and dharma through the lineage.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is stated here; the verse functions purely as a dynastic record of births and heirs.
