Matsya Purana — Paurava Genealogy
सुहोत्रं तनयं माद्री सहदेवादसूयत करेणुमत्यां चैद्यायां निरमित्रस्तु नाकुलिः //
suhotraṃ tanayaṃ mādrī sahadevādasūyata kareṇumatyāṃ caidyāyāṃ niramitrastu nākuliḥ //
Mādrī bore a son named Suhotra to Sahadeva; and in Kareṇumatī, the Caidyā princess of the Cedi line, Nākuḷi begot a son named Niramitra.
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it is a genealogical notice recording births and succession within royal lineages.
Indirectly, it reflects the Purāṇic emphasis on dynastic continuity—legitimate heirs and lineage memory—supporting ideals of kingship, succession, and social order.
No Vāstu, temple-building, or ritual procedure is mentioned; the verse is strictly about lineage and offspring.
