Matsya Purana — Manifestation of Kauśikī
O Goddess, let Ketu be your mount, mighty in strength. Go to Mount Vindhya—there you shall accomplish the work of the gods.
This verse does not discuss Pralaya; it focuses on a divine commission—sending the Goddess to Vindhyachala to fulfill the gods’ intended task.
Indirectly, it models dharmic duty: like the Goddess accepts a divinely assigned mission (sura-kārya), kings and householders are likewise expected to undertake their prescribed responsibilities for cosmic and social order.
The verse signals the ritual-geographical importance of Vindhyachala as a Shakti seat; it supports temple/pilgrimage orientation toward Vindhya-associated Devi worship, though it does not give explicit Vastu rules.
