Matsya Purana — Lineage of the Pitṛs
तथापि येषु स्थानेषु द्रष्टव्या सिद्धिमीप्सुभिः स्मर्तव्या भूतिकामैर् वा तानि वक्ष्यामि तत्त्वतः //
tathāpi yeṣu sthāneṣu draṣṭavyā siddhimīpsubhiḥ smartavyā bhūtikāmair vā tāni vakṣyāmi tattvataḥ //
Even so, I shall now truthfully describe those sacred places which seekers of spiritual attainment should visit, or which those desiring worldly prosperity should at least remember.
This verse does not directly discuss Pralaya; it shifts to practical dharma by introducing a list of sacred places whose visitation or remembrance yields siddhi (spiritual success) or bhūti (worldly prosperity).
It frames a dharmic practice accessible to both rulers and householders: undertaking pilgrimage when possible, or at minimum maintaining devotional remembrance of holy places to support righteous living, prosperity, and spiritual aims.
The ritual takeaway is the emphasis on tirtha-darśana (pilgrimage) and tirtha-smaraṇa (remembering holy sites) as merit-producing acts; no specific Vastu or temple-construction rule is stated in this verse.
