Matsya Purana — Hiranyakashipu’s Boons
तत्रासीनं महाबाहुं हिरण्यकशिपुं प्रभुम् उपासते दितेः पुत्राः सर्वे लब्धवरास्तथा //
tatrāsīnaṃ mahābāhuṃ hiraṇyakaśipuṃ prabhum upāsate diteḥ putrāḥ sarve labdhavarāstathā //
There, seated in state, the mighty-armed lord Hiraṇyakaśipu was attended upon by all the sons of Diti—each of them likewise endowed with boons.
This verse does not address pralaya; it depicts a Daitya court scene where Hiraṇyakaśipu is honored by Diti’s sons who are strengthened by boons.
Indirectly, it illustrates royal hierarchy and courtly attendance (upāsanā as service/obedience), showing how power is consolidated around a sovereign—though here it is applied to an Asura ruler rather than an ideal dharmic king.
No Vastu Shastra, temple architecture rules, or ritual procedure is specified; the verse is primarily political-narrative (a ruler seated in court receiving attendance).
