Matsya Purana — Hiranyakashipu’s Boons
सर्वे च कामाः प्रचुरा ये दिव्या ये च मानुषाः रसयुक्तं प्रभूतं च भक्ष्यभोज्यमनन्तकम् //
sarve ca kāmāḥ pracurā ye divyā ye ca mānuṣāḥ rasayuktaṃ prabhūtaṃ ca bhakṣyabhojyamanantakam //
And there are all desires in abundance—both divine and human; and food and drink of endless variety, rich in taste and plentiful, to be eaten and enjoyed.
This verse is not about Pralaya; it describes the abundance of enjoyments (kāmāḥ) and inexhaustible, flavorful food as a reward-state associated with merit (puṇya) and heavenly realms.
By highlighting the “fruits” of desirable abundance, it supports the Matsya Purana’s ethical framework that righteous conduct—especially generosity, hospitality, and dharmic living—yields prosperity here and pleasurable results after death.
No Vāstu/temple-architecture rule is stated in this verse; its ritual takeaway is indirect—ritual merit (puṇya) is portrayed as producing abundant enjoyments, including plentiful, tasteful offerings/foods in the reward realm.
