Matsya Purana — Genealogy of Kaśyapa: Ādityas
कालवीयेश् च विख्यातो दनुवंशविवर्धनाः संह्रादस्य तु दैत्यस्य निवातकवचाः स्मृताः //
kālavīyeś ca vikhyāto danuvaṃśavivardhanāḥ saṃhrādasya tu daityasya nivātakavacāḥ smṛtāḥ //
Kālavīya too is renowned as one who expanded the lineage of Danu. And the Nivātakavacas are remembered as the descendants of the Daitya Saṃhrāda.
This verse is genealogical, listing Daitya–Dānava clans; it does not directly discuss Pralaya, but it supports the Purāṇic framework of cyclical history by preserving lineage memory across ages.
Indirectly, it models the Purāṇic emphasis on preserving lineage records (vaṃśa-smṛti). For kings and householders, such catalogues reinforce dharma through ancestry-awareness, social order, and the tradition of recording dynasties and clans.
None is explicit here; the verse is a lineage note about Kālavīya and the Nivātakavacas rather than Vastu Shastra, temple rules, or ritual procedure.
