किमेतन्नाभिजानामि जानन्नपि महामते ।
यत्प्रेमप्रवणं चित्तं विगुणेष्वपि बन्धुषु ॥
Transliteration
kim etan nābhijānāmi jānann api mahā-mate |
yat prema-pravaṇaṃ cittaṃ viguṇeṣv api bandhuṣu ||
Translation
“What is this, O great-minded one, that I do not truly understand, though I know much—that the mind inclines toward love even for relatives who lack virtue?”
