Adhyaya 59 — Cosmic Geography and Yuga-Order: Bhadrashva, Ketumala, and the Northern Kuru Region
तैर्विशिष्टा जनपदा नानारूपाः सहस्रशः ।
ततः कुमुदसंकाशाः शुद्धसानुसुमङ्गलाः ॥
tair viśiṣṭā janapadā nānārūpāḥ sahasraśaḥ / tataḥ kumudasaṃkāśāḥ śuddhasānusumaṅgalāḥ
Marked out by them are thousands of provinces of many kinds. Thereafter come regions like white lotuses, with pure slopes and auspicious beauty.
