Heaven-like realms are depicted as primarily for experiencing the fruits of past actions, not for generating fresh moral credit or debt—underscoring the unique ethical urgency of human karmabhūmi.
Sthāna (description of realms) with a doctrinal note on karma-phala-bhoga (enjoyment of results), often paired in Purāṇas with the special status of Bhārata as karmabhūmi.
States of ‘pure enjoyment’ without new karma parallel meditative absorptions where one experiences refined bliss but does not necessarily transform latent tendencies unless insight/action resumes.
