श्रुतिस्मृत्यविरोधेन कृतवृत्तिर्गृहे गृही ।
यत्र तत्र च तत्पत्नी तस्यैवानुगतात्मिका ॥
śruti-smṛty-avirodhena kṛta-vṛttir gṛhe gṛhī | yatra tatra ca tat-patnī tasyaivānugatātmikā ||
A householder who pursues his livelihood in a manner not opposed to śruti and smṛti, and whose wife—wherever she may be—remains of one mind with him and devoted to him: such a household is implied to be under protection and unfit for the Yakṣa to assail.
