Adhyaya 35 — Madālasa’s Instruction on Purity, Impurity, and Corrective Rites (Śauca and Aśauca)
अस्नेहाश्चापि गोधूमयवगोरसविक्रियाः । शशकः कच्छपो गोधा श्वावित् खड्गोऽथ पुत्रक ॥
asnehāścāpi godhūmayavagorasavikriyāḥ | śaśakaḥ kacchapo godhā śvāvit khaḍgo 'tha putraka ||
Also to be avoided are preparations of wheat and barley, and products of cow’s milk when they are without fat (i.e., lacking ghee/oil enrichment). Avoid the hare, tortoise, iguana, porcupine, and rhinoceros as well, O son.
