Adhyaya 31 — Naimittika and Related Śrāddha Rites: Sapiṇḍīkaraṇa, Eligibility, Timing, and Procedure
अपसव्यं पितॄणाञ्च सर्वमेवोपकल्पयेत् । दर्भांश्च द्विगुणान् दत्त्वा तेभ्योऽनुज्ञामवाप्य च ॥
apasavyaṃ pitṝṇāñ ca sarvam evopakalpayet / darbhāṃś ca dviguṇān dattvā tebhyo 'nujñām avāpya ca
For the Pitṛs, one should arrange everything in the apasavya manner (with the sacred thread reversed). Having placed darbha grasses in double measure and obtained their permission, one proceeds.
