Educational Q&A

The verse highlights disciplined concealment and humble service as forms of dharma: even a mighty warrior like Bhīma accepts a low-profile duty, restrains his identity, and protects a larger vow and mission without seeking recognition.

During the Pāṇḍavas’ incognito year, Bhīma is assigned to the royal kitchen in Virāṭa’s court. He becomes dear to the king, yet neither the general populace nor even some attendants realize his true identity.
