Vaiśampāyana said: Having accepted her, Pārtha (Arjuna), placing Janārdana (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) in the position of honor, caused the marriage rites to be performed for the great-souled Saubhadra (Abhimanyu). The episode underscores the dharmic ordering of social life even after turmoil: consent and guardianship are formally acknowledged, elders and divine well-wishers are honored, and a rightful union is solemnized through proper saṃskāra rather than impulse or force.

Even amid political upheaval, dharma is upheld through proper social rites: marriage is conducted as a sanctioned saṃskāra, with due acceptance of responsibility and public honoring of rightful elders/guardians and benefactors (here, Kṛṣṇa).
Arjuna formally accepts Uttarā (as the bride to be given in marriage) and, honoring Kṛṣṇa as foremost, arranges and has performed the wedding ceremony of Abhimanyu (Saubhadra) and Uttarā.
