अभिमन्युं च बीभत्सुरानिनाय जनार्दनम् | आनर्तेभ्योडपि दाशार्हानानयामास पाण्डव:,पाण्डुनन्दन अर्जुनने आनर्तदेशसे अभिमन्यु, भगवान् वासुदेव तथा दशार्हवंशके अपने अन्य सम्बन्धियोंको भी वहाँ बुलवा लिया
abhimanyuṃ ca bībhatsur ānināya janārdanam | ānartebhyo 'pi dāśārhān ānayāmāsa pāṇḍavaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Arjuna, the fierce warrior, brought Abhimanyu and also Janārdana (Kṛṣṇa) to the land of Ānarta; and the Pāṇḍava further had the Dāśārhas—Kṛṣṇa’s own kinsmen—summoned there as well. The episode underscores prudent alliance-building and the dharmic duty to secure rightful support from family and trusted relations as conflict draws near.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic prudence: in moments of looming crisis, one should responsibly gather rightful support—especially from trusted kin and allies—so that action is grounded in legitimate relationships, counsel, and collective duty rather than impulsive force.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Arjuna brings Abhimanyu and Kṛṣṇa to Ānarta and also arranges for Kṛṣṇa’s Dāśārha relatives to come there, indicating coordinated mobilization and alliance formation among the Pāṇḍavas and the Yādavas.
