अन्त:पुरचराश्नैव कुरुभिगों धनं हृतम्‌ । विजेतुमभिसंरब्ध एक एवातिसाहसात्‌ | बृहन्नलासहायश्न निर्गतः पृथिवीज्जय:,“इसी प्रकार अन्तःपुरमें रहनेवाली स्त्रियोंने भी बताया कि कौरवोंने हमारे गोष्ठका गोधन हर लिया है, अतः कुमार भूमिंजय अत्यन्त साहसके कारण क्रोधमें भरकर अकेले ही उन गौओंको जीत लानेके लिये बृहन्नलाके साथ निकले हैं

Vaiśampāyana uvāca — antaḥpuracarāś caiva kurubhir go-dhanaṃ hṛtam | vijetum abhisamrabdha eka evātisāhasāt | bṛhannalā-sahāyaś ca nirgataḥ pṛthivī-jayaḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “The women of the inner palace also reported that the Kauravas had carried off our herd-wealth. Therefore Prince Pṛthivījaya, fired with anger and relying on sheer daring, set out alone to win those cattle back, taking Bṛhannalā as his companion.”
